We provide secure sacks or lockable containers for any waste paper ensuring the contents are kept safe from the point of collection to the delivery on the same day to a dedicated shredding plant.
Our trained staff watch the paper being shredded and then sign off the delivery so our admin team can provide you with a “Certificate of Secure Disposal” that provides you or your company, with confirmation you have complied with The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2016/679.
The data wiping of hard drives from PC’s is carried out in our secure unit. We log the serial number of the PC, laptop or server to ensure a full audit trail and then arrange to wipe the hard drive using our specialist hardware. This overwrites the hard drive seven times to DOD standards.
If the hard drive is faulty, then we physically destroy it using a hard drive crusher, specially designed for the purpose. This machine can also be used for any computer media such as data tapes or USB sticks. If you wish to see the hard drives destroyed at your premises (witness destruction), then this can also be arranged.
Once the process is complete, we then provided a certificate to confirm the item has been wiped or destroyed for ultimate peace of mind and by following both GDPR and the WEEE directives.
